Sometimes caught in the spaces of faces, the ridges of the nose climbing to a summit, into the folds of eyelids subtly shifting, as retinas and corneas press into edges, definitions falling and collapsing over soft skin, the shadow of slight wrinkle, the eclipse of cheek to form lip and disguise teeth, the stretch of the jaw as the tongue is revealed, pink gum curving around bone and back into red darkness.
